New Online System-Get leads and income

How do I choose a business?....There are so many....

When I evaluate a company, I look for these key points. Keep in mind, when I join a company, my #1 goal is to make money and to do it legitimately. I do not want to hurt anyone or rip anyone off. This is what I’ve learned and these guidelines will help you determine what company is right for you.
If you are not making at least 75% of the upfront commission when you make a sale, forget it. This means that you are doing all the work and the company and/or the person above you is making all the money.
If you have to have 1000, 10,000 or 20,000 people in your organization before you make any real money. DO NOT Join. Most people will NEVER get there.
If they teach you to hold home parties and invite all your friends. Run away fast.
If they have a sales pitch 2-3 times a day and only 2-3 training classes per week. This means that the company is more interested in selling you than training you how to make money long term
If you can’t break even or get into profit with 3 sales, forget it.
If you can’t speak with the owners or the corporate office via phone or webinar, Forget it. I like to know who I am doing business with before I will do business with them.
If it is a start up or in pre launch, forget. The chances of these companies becoming the next Amway is about as good as winning the lottery. At least with the lottery, you have a chance to win once or twice a week. You might as well go to Vegas and blow your money on a good time. At least you’ll have some great memories, see a great show and have a great meal.
These are not all the rules for success on the internet, but this is a great guideline to follow when evaluating an internet company. Use these guidelines to help you narrow down your choices for choosing a company that best fits yours goals.

I need an Independent Sales Rep

I have a marketing and advertising agency with a few employees. We specialize in the financial industry (banks and credit unions) but we have a pretty broad portfolio and 25 years of experience.

I had to come to terms with the fact that I suck at sales. I am good in sales meeting, I can charm the prospect and give them all the information - I just never seem to close the sale.

I talked to some other agency owners (competitors) who told me that they have commission based sales reps that they contract with. This sounds like the solution to my problems. However I am having the worst time finding the right sales person.

Our commissions range from 10% to 15% depending on how much work we have to do to help the agent. If they are a self starter super sales maniac, they can get that 15%. Our typical client contract is anywhere from $50,000 a year to $300,000 a year. Potential income is incredible. We also have 2 unique "Plug and Chug" products that are pretty easy to sell. These have the same sales commissions butare quicker and easier to sell. They also have a smaller pricetag so the income from them is smaller, but since they are easier to sell, the agent would make it up in volume.

I dont know if my commission structure is to high or too low. I just know i need help and I figured that this is the only place I could go to get some honest feedback. We have websites and marketing materials - we are just missing that "Face Person" that can do the legwork and make us all more successful.

Help me please. I want to give this opportunity to the right folks who will make the most of it but I don't want to rip anyone off and I dont want to short change myself either.

How to lead a bid to successful conclusion?

I have put together a large bid, larger than what I usually deal with and for the first time I am representing a group of people, with higher expertise than me.

This is something that could provide us with work for years to come.

How are such things usually managed? It was sent in last week but I haven't heard from them since. The person in charge was away.

When I finally reached him, he told me that I would get the O.K. in a week but also that he was not the final decision-taker.
I have not been able to reach the final decision-taker and I do not want to come across as frantic but keen.

Any advice?
Any good books on leading negotiations.

One very good piece of advice was to come across as very reassuring and not leave any doubt on the final performance.

The REAL "Pyramid Scheme"

Over the decades, with every network marketing company I' ve participated in, I've heard people ask, "Is this a Pyramid Scheme"?

This never ceases to amuse me, because 99% of these people are ALREADY LIVING IN A "PYRAMID SCHEME".

Basically, in a Pyramid Scheme, one or a few people on the "top" benefit from the work of everyone "below" them. And no matter how hard or intelligent these "bottom-dwellers" work, they can never attain the "top" position -or at best, can only do so by making it their life's agenda.

Does this sound eerily familiar to what you're already doing for work?
Do you have a boss?
If you do, does your work help their business prosper?
Is the possibility of your taking over their position conditional on their retirement, or other means of resignation (including death)?

Or do you work for a corporation?
If so, what would it take for you to become the CEO -or a board member?
Do you get to make the decisions on the policies at your work?

Ending a long carrear of business

I am now getting to the point of wanting to end a great home business working in a creative network situation in the Bay Area(East Bay).

I am having a lot of questions:

Can I sell this business?

Is there someone who would be happy to work for me for a while and then take it over as a buyer?

How do I know I am not waisting my time training someone? They might just leave after they learned everything from me.

My business requires certain physical skills which not everybody has. Where do I find a person like this?

I think I want to sell this great small business wuth a lot of "good Will" as the main value for about $250 000.00 but is there anybosy who has this kind of money to invest in a business?
This business can be developed to be quite large. I get more requests for service than I can and want to handle.

If I continue this business and having to turn down certain offers will the business deteriorate rather than grow? - I think I should hand this business over to someone sooner rather tan later.

How do I best find someone industry specific in this area without revealing who I am and that I want to sell? The knowlledge of this plan may be detrimental if I want to continue.

Any thoughts from anybody out there?

cruise ship job!

i got a call from a cruise line and did an interview that seemed to go pretty well. they were looking at me for a cruise staff position (leading activities, etc.) but i told them i would need to give my job at least a month's notice. they called back later to ask me how i felt about being a librarian on board a cruise ship. i was not aware they had those but i looked it up and found it was an actual job they have on ships.

has anyone ever seen this on a ship? i'm curious about what i'm getting into with that. do you think i should take it, or stick to my guns about cruise staff?

need some advice

i regularly get my coffee at this great coffee shop in my county. it really has a lot of potential to be the town hang-out, but after several months, it still hasn't taken off yet. when i come in, there are only one or two people there, if any. the owners are getting discouraged. they can't figure it out because they have so much that other places do not- free internet access on the cafe computer, cushy comfy couches, tons of the latest reading material for customers to peruse for free and a stage and other capabilities for great acoustic stage performances.

the obvious reason i saw that they are not doing well is advertising. they don't seem to get the word out enough, but they also confuse people with their sign. it's called michael's. sounds like a jewelry store, huh? and that is the sign glowing over the business. they need some indication that they are a coffee shop (especially since it is the only one in the town).

they said tonight that they may do away with music performances all together because they are so inconsistent. one problem is they don't pay their performers (because they can't afford it). i suggested that they charge a cover at the door. another idea i had is to organize a concert with various acoustic artists.

i don't know, though, i am a rookie at this pr stuff. so what kinds of ideas do you guys have to turn this business around? i really want to make this happen.

Hi there. I am not sure if you know Curtis Coleman ... he's a friend of ours in the Burning Man community. His situation is very precarious right now, so if I can ask you anything it would be that you put him in your thoughts and prayers.

Friends of Curtis is a community effort to support singer/songwriter Curtis Coleman as he battles squamous cell carcinoma, an aggressive cancer attacking his neck and throat. Last year, Curtis’ musical performances helped tens of thousands of children to learn about safety and expressing their own voices. Now, he may lose his own voice forever. Together we can help prevent that.

I have a huge favor to ask of you. We're putting together a FUNdraiser for Curtis, on March 5 at SOMArts in San Francisco. As part of this we are having a silent auction to let people take home some cool items while leaving some more of their cash behind LOL.

Would any of you be willing to donate an item or two to auction off at the benefit? I'd love anything, but if it's something meaningful to you, I'm sure it'll go over great with the crowd.

You would get a display sheet with your name/web site on it and the right to display your business cards right next to your products.

I won't be able to take orders for another few weeks because I am working on a project that will take most of my time. After that though, the cart buttons go up and it's on! Got some new exciting information for you - have a read!

As you know - my "big picture" is to eliminate expenses through healthy choices with a consumable product. It is true, I have been researching a company over the past 4 months after first being exposed to them at the Health symposium in the latter of 2004.

Shelley and I have decided to add it to our expense elimination program for the following reasons:

I am an Artist and workshop Fascillitator. I run creative healing workshops on helping others get in touch with there passion, love and purpose in life. I have travelled back and fourth to the Usa and australia doing this. I am very right brained and yes I am learning the whole network thing, But my situation is low budget and living in Oz trying to get workshops going in the Usa is hard.
So I was opening to getting some one who is just into marketing
